Testosterone Questions

  • Testosterone regulate sex drive, bone mass, distribution of fat, increases muscle mass and strength, and stimulates the production of red blood cells and sperm.

  • Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone and the main anabolic steroid naturally produced in the body. Testosterone is a natural androgenic-anabolic steroid. Increased male sex characteristics come from the androgenic and muscle mass comes from the anabolic.

  • Testosterone can have many side effects, your provider at Apex 7 will monitor you closely for including:

Skin: Acne, oily skin, or skin irritation from topical testosterone

Prostate: Enlarged prostate or growth of existing prostate cancer

    Breasts: Breast enlargement or tenderness

Sleep: Difficulty falling or staying asleep, or worsening of sleep apnea

Mood: Mood swings, irritability, or hostility

Voice: Hoarseness or deepening of voice

Injection site: Pain, redness, bruising, bleeding, or hardness at the injection site

    Hair: Hair loss

    Libido: Loss of libido

  • Testosterone levels naturally decrease with age, starting around age 30 to 40. Medications such as chemotherapy, statins, antidepressants, opioids, antifungals, and some hypertension medications, can lower testosterone levels. Health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, sleep apnea, and depression. Pituitary gland problems which regulate testosterone production, can cause low testosterone. Testicle injury, cancer, or other problems with the testicles can cause low testosterone. Stress can also contribute to low testosterone. Sleep can reduce testosterone levels in young men.

  • A testosterone level is tested through a blood sample.

  • Short answer is no, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) does not cause heart attack or stroke. However, some studies have found that testosterone supplements can increase the risk of heart attack. The risk of heart attack associated with testosterone supplements may depend on several factors, including the age of the patient and whether they have a history of heart disease. This will be discussed further at the initial consultation visit.

  • According to the Anabolic Steroid Act of 1990, testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance of the Controlled Substance Act.

Treatment Plan Questions

  • HGH is a natural protein hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. It plays a crucial role in growth, cell regeneration, and maintaining healthy human tissue.

  • Our plan uses HGH releasing hormones and peptides, such as CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin, to stimulate your body's natural production of growth hormone rather than directly administering synthetic HGH.

  • Benefits may include increased muscle mass and strength, improved body composition, enhanced bone density, better sleep quality, increased energy, improved immune function, and potential anti-aging effects.

  • Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body, regulating various physiological processes.

  • We offer a range of peptides, including those for cognitive enhancement (like DiHexa, Selank, and Semax), sexual health (like PT-141), and recovery (such as BPC-157 and TB-500).

  • When used under proper medical supervision, peptides are generally considered safe. However, as with any medical treatment, there can be potential side effects, which is why we closely monitor our patients throughout their treatment.

  • Our weight loss plan combines personalized dietary and exercise recommendations with cutting-edge weight loss peptides to provide a comprehensive approach to sustainable weight loss.

  • We utilize various peptides depending on individual needs, including Tirzepatide, Semaglutide, MOTS-c, and AOD-9604, among others. Each targets different aspects of weight management, from appetite control to fat metabolism.

  • While overall weight loss is our primary goal, we do offer some targeted solutions like topical treatments combining aminophylline and glycyrrhetinic acid, which may help reduce fat in specific areas.
